Here is the tale of the S.S. Princess Alice disaster of 1878. The greatest maritime tragedy in London's history. Over 600 people lost their lives that day, drowning in a rank River Thames, weighed down by their Sunday best clothing.

This is RM Anderson's London. I'm a songwriter that writes about people and events from London History.
When I decided to create this music, I thought it would be interesting to also tell the story in video, combined with the song.
In 2011 I released an episode a week for 365 days as part of a 'Song a Week' project, called 'Songs rom The Howling Sea. All inspired by East End history.
In 2012 I continued this theme in celebration of the London 2012 Olympics, with stories and songs taken from the 5 London host boroughs.
In 2021 in celebration of the 10yr anniversary of this collection, all content is revisited, re-recorded. revamped, refreshed. and re-released .
I
